This Mom’s Life – Special Friendship Day Post

After a long gap about two months, the guest post is back now.  I dedicate today’s post This Mom’s Life as a Special Friendship Day post. This guest post is from my lovely, adorable friend Erika of the blog Author Erika Kind. An eminent and diversified personality. In fact I am a great fan of all her posts especially I long for her Tidbit Tuesday.

Happy Erika with her three children

She is a youthful woman of 45, born in Austria (Vienna), living in the little Principality of Liechtenstein , located between Austria and Switzerland. In the years 1998/99 she spent a year in the suburban of Buffalo (NY), where her second child was born. She is a mom of three: one daughter of 20 and two sons of 16 and 13.

She worked as a chief-secretary until her daughter was born. Then she worked part-time until 2012. She’s a singer, song writer, published author, and she is running a Practice for Aromatherapy and Self-Development for 7 years. She is educated in Aromatherapy, Emmett-Therapy, Matrix-Transformation, Spiritual Healing, and Tarot Cards-Reading. She’s giving lectures, seminars, and workshops in order to motivate people for connecting again with the beautiful and powerful creative being they are. She wants to inspire others to overcome their fears and self-doubts in order to live a fulfilled and happy life according to their soul’s plan.

She love music in almost every genre and poetry. She has a huge garden which she take care of herself. Oh, and I have two guinea pigs and a turtle. They all live outside in a big enclosure.

Now I hand over the show to Lovely Erika :

  1. What three words describe you as a mother? Encouraging: I want my kids to go for their dreams, to believe in themselves, and to believe that there is always a way. Supportive: I will always support my children on their path even if I think different (except it is harmful). I will never be in their way to live their own life. Consequent: When I say something, I mean it. A No is a No as a Yes is a Yes. Also I want that the house rules are obeyed. I don’t let them get away.
  2. What’s the parenting rule you never break? Children have a right on their privacy.
  3. And one rule you do break? Regarding my consequence: Sometimes I let them get away.
  4. How do you spend time off for yourself? My real and ultimate time off happens in California. I am there up to 10 days once a year all by myself. I enjoy sitting at the ocean for hours. It is highly inspirational and I am recharging my batteries. I had my profoundest insights at the coast of SoCal.
  5. What’s the best part of your day? Writing, working in my garden, chatting and kitting with my daughter.
  6. What’s your favorite guilty pleasure? Coffee!!! I love my coffee in the morning after I am done with my household. That first coffee is the best of the day.
  7. What five things can always be found in your refrigerator? Milk, eggs, cheese, sausage, yogurt, and much more…
  8. What words describe you as a wife and a mom? Being not “either or” but “both and”, development, innovation, realizing visions.
  9. Do you have a family ritual that you love? When I brought my kids to bed I used to sing with them and I always asked what they liked most on that day. I wanted them to go to sleep with a good memory of the day. My 13-year-old still wants me to do it (not the singing… lol)
  10. What are 3 best things you love to teach your child?Tolerance, faith, self-esteem. But teaching is not the right word. I would say I am encouraging them (see number 1), and inspire them by living like it.

Happy Mother’s Day Wishes to All !!!🙂🙂
